Pete Lambert

About me
My name is Pete, I’m down to earth, approachable and trustworthy. My passion is helping people suffering with their mental health. I have over 14 years experience working in NHS Mental Health Services, supporting people from all walks of life from ages 8 to 80.
For the last 3 years I have volunteered for local counselling services. This has enabled me to develop my style and in turn been incredibly rewarding. I am an Integrative Counsellor, this means I draw on a range of theories and techniques and adapt to find the best one suited to you. I’m a strong believer that “Prevention is better than cure” and this has helped me evolve Prevention To Intervention.
I have worked with many different types of mental health disorders and neurodevelopmental disorders such as Autism. I have a special interest working within a community setting with anxiety and phobias doing graded exposure work.
A subject close to my heart is male mental health, I understand just how difficult it can be asking for help. I would like to open new avenues (such as Sport & Talk) to reduce stigma and give men opportunities to reach out.
Education
Over the years I have gained many qualifications and experience under Mental Health. I love to learn and intend to continue building on my knowledge and experience.
